#THE GRAND SWIM
FIRST EVER . 65 MILES . 30 HOURS . NON-STOP
as he attempts something no one else has achieved to raise awareness for plastic pollution.
A few words from Oly
In May 2022, I will attempt a world-record nonstop swim around the entire Island of Grand Cayman. These efforts aim to raise vital funds to keep individuals on the ground actively fighting plastic pollution in the Cayman Islands.
This project will educate, raise awareness, and encourage people to take action against this destructive force that affects all of our lives. In partnership, Plastic Free Cayman & Project Planet will host a series of community events leading up to the record-breaking swim.
Any extra funds we raise will go straight towards the charity Plastic Free Cayman.
A bit about Plastic Free Cayman
Plastic Free Cayman are a team of volunteers passionate about reducing single-use plastic in the beautiful Cayman Islands. They aim to raise awareness to the growing issues surrounding plastic pollution and help others on their plastic-free journey. They began as a grassroots movement in 2017 with monthly clean ups and were awarded our ‘Not for Profit Charitable Trust’ certificate in June 2018.
